THE 2ND LETTER OF
JOHN

ἸΩΆΝΝΗΣ         יוֹחָנָן







From the Eldera,
to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truthb - and not just me, but all those who know the truth - because of the truthc that remains in us and will be with us foreverd,
      Grace, mercy and peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus the Anointed Onee, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

I rejoiced exceedingly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, just as a commandment we received from the Father. And now I ask you, lady - not as if writing you a new commandment, but that which we have had - that we should love one another. And this is love, that we should walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as y’all have heard from the beginning, so that y’all should walk in it.

Because many deceivers have entered into the world - those who do not confess Jesus the Anointed One as having become human. Such a personf is the deceiver and the antiAnointedg. Watch yourselves, so that y’all should not lose what we’ve worked for, but that you may receive a full reward. Anyone who doesn’t remain in the teaching of the Anointed One but goes beyond it doesn’t have God. The one who remains in the teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to y’all and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into the house and don’t say “Welcome” to himh, because the one who says “Welcome” to him shares in his evil works.

Though I have many things to write to you, I don’t want to do so with paper and ink. But I hope to come to you and speak to you personally, so that our joy may be complete.
